Description
What is Fexodenadine?
Fexofenadine is a type of medication called an antihistamine. This class of medication is used to treat symptoms of allergies and is commonly used during hay fever season. In addition, it may be prescribed for the treatment of:
- Hives
- Conjunctivitis
- Eczema
- Insect Bites and Stings
- Some food Allergies
When exposed to an allergen the body will naturally produce histamine which is released during an immune response. Fexofenadine is an antihistamine which means the mechanism of action for Fexofenadine is by blocking the production and release of histamine. By blocking the production of histamine this will in turn block the source of the symptoms.
What is the right dosage for me?
